I'm having a yardsale....?

Ok, well, I am having a yard sale. And they are stuff I wouldn't mind keeping, but don't really need. I am a neat person, so everything I am selling is in perfect condition. Clothes I am selling have all been washed or never worn. Here are some stuff I am selling

*My bike *clothes *purses *jewelry *CD's *wind chime *football *roller blades *cup stacks *twister moves *binders *etc

I have made everything 10 dollars and under. Like the bike is 10 dollars, the cup stacks are ten dollars, but the books are between 2-7 dollars depending on their size. And the clothes are cheap, too. But I was just wondering is maybe I was making things tee cheap or too expensive. And help me find the prices that you would be satisfied with. I also said negotiation is possible. And plus, how do I get the word out? I live in an apartment place, and my apartment is having a community wide yard sale in our apartments, but I'm not sure if anyone is actually going to sell their stuff, or even come out to look.

I'm having a yardsale....?
Keep the prices as they are. Have a limit of say $1.5 for each book and since you are willing to negotiate it leaves the person with the sense that they are working you down and have gotten a deal. I wouldn't worry too much about if people will come out to the yard sale. People sometimes wait for big community sales like that because it saves them time and money. Find out if your apartment complex advertises. If they do, don't worry about it. If they don't. there are free sites that will let you list your yardsale such as craiglist.com
Reply:books should be 1 dollar and the bike should be 15 or 20.
Reply:books at yard sales normally will only sell for 3$ or under and clothes should all be under 5$, per peice. you could definately get 5$ for a peice if it has the tag on it, people snatch clothes up at a yard sale if they have tags on them. 10$ for the bike is a good price, purses should be between 1$-7$, you should charge one price(around a dollar) for all necklaces and bracelets and earrings(best sold in their boxes), cd's should go for about 1.50-2.50 a cd. roller blades avout 5$ *(make sure they don't look worn out or old) so your prices are good and most of the time when a whole neighborhood or apartment complex has a yardsale they advertise in papers and LOTS of people will show up, trust me!!! also it is good to be willing to lower your prices as it gets later in the day.
Reply:I would lower the books a little lower but everything else sounds good to me! If things are really nice or haven't been worn then it will be ok to be a little pricey
Reply:Yeah, I would reduce the prices of books, and you could probably charge more for the bike, depending on its condition. If you see people looking at objects, you can always haggle with them on the spot. And if you want to spread the word, just put up posters around the street.
Reply:well, you definitely want to make money so i would bump up the shirt prices to maybe $12. you can get the word out y making posters and putting them around your neighborhood.
Reply:I would lower the prices on the books to like 50 cents!!
Reply:usualy apartments that have that comunity yard sale have had it for several years and it has been successful so i think your prices are goodand dont wory about it just go and have fun!
