I know this is kind of a silly question, but I have no idea if a 10 year old girl who wears a 14 Girls for pants %26amp; 14/16 Girls for shirts would be considered small, medium or large. I'm asking because at work we have "adopted" several underprivleged families for Christmas. The girl I will be shopping for wants roller blades. I know her shoe size, but I would like to buy her protective gear to go along with the skates. I need to know what size to buy %26amp; most sets of pads I've seen are labeled as sm, med %26amp; lg.
Thanks for your help!!! :)
Is a size 14 Girls considered sm, med or lg?
I would say medium as well, although, it would be on the edge between medium and large, so if something looks like i runs small, then you might want to think about going up a size.
One idea, go to the clothes department and grab a shirt in that size that isn't stretchy (not a t-shirt) with long sleeves. Then you can use that to judge how big around the arm would be. You could do the same thing for the legs with a pair of jeans.
Reply:Medium, a beautiful MEDIUM.
Reply:are the pads in kids or adult sizes?
if they are in kids size get a large
if its adult sizes get a small
and geez tht girl is big im 14 and i still wear a 12 in kids
Reply:med
Reply:A large in children's things.
Reply:if the pads are childrens...then large
if they are adults then small
Reply:Every store is different.Even every brand is different.
I have seen a 14 as large or XXL.
Why not get her knee pads and a helmet and a gift card to a store to pick out whatever else she needs ?
You are doing such wonderful work.I applaud you.
Reply:its like a medium
Reply:that's a medium.
Reply:When u make the purchase, do not forget to consult the sales girl or the tailor who does fitting. But fittings r not same in the same age group. U have to decide about that when u dole out the dress. The girl herself will help u in deciding, what's the right size for her.
Reply:IF YOU ARE SPEAKING OF "GIRLS" ------A 14 IS CONSIDERED A LARGE. BUT THIS DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN THAT A GIRL IS "LARGE"---THAT DEPENDS ON HER FRAME.
Reply:Large
Reply:big girl for a 10 year old, but the size is med
Reply:14/16 girls is considered a large. But as far as protective gear for roller blades, that would be totally different. You would be safe to get medium, I would suggest. At 10 yrs old, it is pretty safe to say the girl doesn't have large legs yet...
Suggestion: ask a child you know that is about 10 to try a knee pad on...most 10yr olds will have about the same knee/leg size. It is when you get into the teens that the children start to develop larger thighs and caps.
Reply:Actually its XL :(
Reply:its a lg in kids
Reply:Large....if it is girl's. 16 is the highest size in girl's.
Reply:probably medium but it depends on the store
Reply:that's a medium
Reply:Large.
And that is a very nice thing you are doing!
Reply:medium
Reply:large
Reply:Large.
Great you're so generous, too. Hats off!
Reply:well ill say its between medium and the large but i say medium.large is 16.meduim is 10-14,i think below is small, but thats me.
Reply:I think that a size 14 in pants is a medium and a 14/16 in shirts most likley is a large or medium, im pretty sher im right.
Reply:is the 10 year old wearing a womans size 14? If so it would be considered large for a 10 year old.
Reply:since protective gear is going to fit differently than regular clothes its hard to say.
As far as regular clothes go it all depends....Some sizes run smaller and some run larger.
For example when at size 8 at store A could be a size 9 at store B. and could be a size 7 at store C.
You could always but in a gift receipt just in case it don't fit right.
And thank you for thinking of other this Holiday Season. I wish there were out there who did this with out expecting something in return.
Reply:In kids it is large. In adults it is small
Reply:Welll, i would go with medium. Small is probably to small, and large might be too large. So go with medium. hope i helpedddd
